Advertise For Little Or No Cost With Cartoon Emails
Here is an idea which allows small local businesses or large businesses to advertise
at almost no cost.
People love to share cartoons and jokes on the internet. A really funny gag can
create a viral email effect, where readers pass them on to their friends.
Businesses can encourage this by sending cartoon emails to the people on their
own mailing list.
Here is an example of the type of email you can send.
Here's how you do it:
- Create a page on your website which will carry your cartoon and advertising
signature, similar to the
example mentioned above.
- Open that page in your internet browser. From the top bar select "Edit" and
then choose "Select All" from the sub-menu which pops up.
- Then from the top bar select "Edit" and "Copy" from the sub-menu.
- Open up your email form. Click into the message area and then from the top
bar select "Edit" and "Paste". This will put your webpage into your email
message.
- Address the email to those on your email list, and send.

Your only cost is licensing the cartoons you want to use. I make this easy for
my customers. I allow you to select any cartoon from my website and name your
own price for licensing that cartoon. Some of my cartoons are even available for
free. You will want to pick the cartoons that you think your readers will enjoy
the most since those are the ones they will more likely forward to their friends.
Whenever they forward your message to their friends you get even more exposure
for your company.
My final suggestion is that you send these cartoons out about once a week. You
want enough repetition to become familiar your customers, but you don't
want to send too many emails or they may unsubscribe to your list. You want to
build enough name recognition so that next time this customer needs your products
or services they will think of you first.
