Storyboarding

A lot of cartoonists (myself included) have become increasingly disappointed in the shrinking number of markets for gag cartoons as well as the huge increase in competition. When I started cartooning it was from reading an ad in Popular Mechanics which said, “Earn Big Money Drawing Simple Cartoons.” Well, the cartoons aren’t all that simple to draw and the money for most of us simply isn’t “big money.” One opportunity that exists for cartoonists to make more money is in storyboarding. The demand is growing, and the pay is good. Best of all, it’s possible to earn in this field even if you can’t draw that well. Storyboards have even been created using stick figures. So I had Chat GPT write a couple of articles on this topic. I hope you find them helpful. (Ron Coleman)
